Resistograph Tree Assessment

Using the Resistograph: the latest technology to assess the health and safety of trees.

We’re excited to be the first company in Wales to acquire this new device.

A sophisticated piece of equipment, the Resistograph is a hand held, computerised device, that uses electronically controlled drill resistance measurement, to assess the inner condition of trees.

It detects cavities, decay and cracks, and will help determine the quality of the wood.

It causes minimum harm to the tree, and provides detailed information on its condition.

So how will this benefit our customers…

Trees can hold great sentimental or historical value. Or even aesthetic value. In these cases, it will be the desire for everyone involved to preserve the tree and keep it healthy. But, it can be a concern for the tree owner if they are no longer safe.

Older trees for example will naturally hollow out, branches can become brittle and unstable, causing a safety risk.

The Resistograph will help us make an accurate assessment of the tree’s health, and provide evidence to confirm its safety.

It will also save us from carrying out destructive tests, which could open up the tree to harmful pathogens, causing further decay.

It’s less invasive, safer for the tree, and more cost effective for you.

If you require a tree safety assessment, or if you need advice and information on tree health and safety, don’t hesitate to contact Paul and the team here.
